Chef Mary E. McGrath has worked in the restaurant industry since she was eighteen. Her first gig was as a salad girl and dishwasher at Points East, a small restaurant located in Westfield, MA, McGrath’s hometown.
Mary E. McGrath went to the New England Culinary Institute, which is in Montpelier, Vermont, where she earned an associate degree in culinary arts and science. She moved to Louisiana in 1992 to join the New Orleans restaurant community, where she worked at Mike’s.
McGrath moved to New York in 1996 and began working with Anita Leo at Mirezi. She then worked for three years in a popular cafeteria in Chelsea and later became the executive chef. After taking a leave of absence from NYC, she settled in Brooklyn.
Sosie Hublitz worked as a set decorator and director in the 1980s before starting her career in the restaurant industry in 1988. For the past 2 decades, she has combined her knack for devising a beautiful setting to create seasonally inspired dishes that have become neighborhood favorites.
Sosie Hublitz’s illustrious career consists of thriving restaurants in Virginia, Charlottesville, and North Carolina.
